The Buechner Institute is fast becoming an important resource in the Tri-Cities area, a gathering place for entertainment, learning and spiritual growth.Beyond our regular offerings for scholars and students, the Institute consistently makes programming available to the wider region. Please consult the schedule for full information about our free lecture and discussion opportunities.
The Institute establishes a venue for artists, performers, political figures and others who are engaging faith issues in their literary work, visual art, music, public policy and the like. This dialogue aims to advance the theme of faith and culture in the wider community and offer opportunities for an expanded exploration of these matters to the region. Maintaining a place between shrill sectarianism on the one hand and abject secularism on the other, the Institute aims to generate thoughtful and open responses to the challenges of our days in the arena of faith and culture.
